2. How can I use this API?

Before using the Pangle API, you will need to:

Apply for a security key on Pangle, as Pangle will use your security key to identify your requests.

3. Sandbox Environment

  • We have provided a sandbox environment that allows advertisers to test the API. The sandbox environment is completely isolated from the actual business environment.
  • The protocols, domain name and HTTP header used in the sandbox environment are different from the ones in the actual business environment, while the other parts are the same. Sandbox protocol: HTTP Sandbox domain name: open-api-sandbox.pangleglobal.com The following HTTP header must be used in order to access the sandbox environment: X-Tt-Env: open_api_sandbox.
  • Sample code for sending a request using the API in the sandbox environment (strings that need to be updated in the actual business environment are highlighted)
  • You can use your normal test account for API testing in the sandbox environment:

user_id:45745

role_id:45745

security_key:Zes6ctYcPJoW4O16Yj85zg==

mask_rule_id:5156944

4. API Overview

4.1 General Rules

4.1.1 Authentication & Verification

  • Master account and sub accounts (role) This API allows users to manage their sub accounts. The master account can be understood as a super administrator (hereinafter abbreviated as super admin ). All API requests must provide the master account (user_id) and sub account (role_id) fields. The security keys of the master account and sub accounts are to be used separately. The super admin's role_id is the same as its user_id. You can find your role_id and security key by going to Pangle > Integrations.
  • Generate signature field
    • Since this API uses signature-based permission verification, all API requests must include a sign parameter.
    • The sign parameter is calculated based on the security key, timestamp, and a nonce. These values will be converted into strings, ordered alphabetically, joined together, and then encrypted with SHA1.
    • Sample code for generating the sign parameter in Python:
    • Sample code for generating the sign parameter in Java:

4.1.2 API URL Specifications

  • Character encoding: All characters used in requests and responses must be encoded using UTF-8.
  • Protocol: HTTPS (note that the protocol used in the sandbox environment is HTTP).
  • Domain name: open-api.pangleglobal.com (note that the domain name used in the sandbox environment is open-api-sandbox.pangleglobal.com).

4.1.3 API Request Specifications

  • HTTP method: All API requests must use POST as the HTTP method.
  • Request body: All HTTP request parameters must be sent in the body of the request as a JSON.
  • HTTP headers:
  1. All API requests must contain the following headers:
    1. Content-Type: application/json
    2. Accept: application/json
  2. Requests sent in the sandbox environment must include the following HTTP header:
    1. X-Tt-Env: open_api_sandbox

4.1.4 Specifications for Data Returned through API

  • HTTP status code: The API supports standard HTTP status codes. Code 200 means that the request has been correctly received by the API and returned. To check the status code, please refer to the code parameter contained in the response body.
  • HTTP headers: The Content-Type returned via the API is application/json.
  • Response body: Returned as a JSON containing the following 4 fields:

name

type

description

code

int

Returned status code. Please refer to section 5.1 for more details.

4.2 App API

4.2.1 Verification Timeout and Asynchronous Verification

  • Whenever an app is created, or its package_name, download_url, or apk_sign (app's SHA1 value) is updated, it will be verified on the server side.
  • If verification times out (for example, the app download takes too long), a 50007 code will be returned via the API, and the verification will be processed asynchronously on the server side.
  • If your app is to be verified asynchronously (and you receive the 50007 code), its package_name, download_url, and apk_sign will only be updated once the verification process has ended.
  • After verification process has been completed, you will receive the results via an in-site message.

4.2.2 App Statuses

  • There are 5 app states in all. However, only Live , Test or Resume statuses can be used when sending a request.
    • Live (status=2). You can switch to this status using the API for app creation and app editing.
    • Test (status=6). You can switch to this status using the API for app creation and app editing.
    • Resume (status=-1). Resume pause state until before pause.
    • Undergoing verification (1). This status is used for apps that have not passed verification.
    • Rejected (3). This status is used for apps that fail to pass asynchronous verification.
    • Special rule: When you edit the information of a launched app, if the new information fails to pass verification, the app information will not be updated.
  • Statuses returned via the API's query interface, in addition to the above-mentioned four states (-1, 1, 2, 3, and 6), also include:
    • Suspended (status=4).
    • Aborted (status=5).

4.2.3 App Creation

  • API permissions: User's role must be super admin, admin, or other roles that have permissions to create or edit Apps, Ad Placements, and blocking rules .
  • Sandbox URL:http://open-api-sandbox.pangleglobal.com/union/media/open_api/site/create
  • Request method: POST

5.1 Return Codes

5.1.1 Definition

The following information returned by the API is used to describe the status of the call:

  • Return code: Display the call response, displayed as the code field returned through the API. Each return code has a corresponding return message.

Please note that the return code is the only basis for identifying the status of calls. Therefore, please design logical verification processes and workflows based on return codes, rather than returned messages or internal codes.
