How does Pangle protect children's privacy?

Our platform is built to abide to regulations such as COPPA, (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act), which imposes certain restrictions on the operators of websites and online services that are directed to children under 13 years of age, as well as on operators of other websites or online services that have actual knowledge they are collecting personal information online from any child under 13 years of age.

Pangle will apply different data storage and ad delivery strategies based on each app developer's input as to whether or not their app's users include children.

If the developer does not specify the age of its users, the platform will treat them as mature users by default.

Details:

  • "Client-side Configuration":

For each request, the platform will evaluate the value it receives from the SDK Settings module to determine whether or not the request came from a child.

  • "For Ages 13 and Above":

With this setting, any requests may be exposed to ads that are intended for users aged 13 and above, and the developer will takes full responsibility for any exposure of immature users to ad content that is rated for ages 13+.

  • "For Ages 12 and Under":

The platform will only deliver ads that are intended to be viewable by children.

(Please note that your eCPM will therefore be affected.)
